Research: I am a third-year PhD candidate in European PhD in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies at Sapienza University of Rome (supervised by Prof. Jacob Weisdorf).
My PhD thesis explores the root causes of innovation. To this end, I use national industrial censuses from France to examine the adoption of steam technology among local industries in the two decades spanning the 1840s and the 1860s. In this context, I explore various aspects of economic circumstances, such as trade-regulations, infrastructure, and labour-market conditions, for their role in the processes of innovation and industrialization.
