Ali Abu ghanimeh (Irbid 1957) è professore ordinario di Storia dell’Architettura e Progettazione architettonica presso The University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, dove attualmente è Preside della Facoltà di Arte e Design. Si laurea alla Facoltà di Architettura della Sapienza a Roma (1987) e qui ottiene il Ph.D nel 1997.
Presidente del Forum degli Architetti del Mediterraneo è stato Preside della Facoltà di Ingegneria presso The University of Jordan, dopo essere stato Vicepresidente The University of Al al-Bayt dal 2015 al 2017, Mafraq, Jordan.
È stato Visiting Lecturer presso The University of Minia and Cairo, Egypt; in Algeri, Algeria; presso The Holy Spirit University di Kasik, Libano; in Msida, Malta; in Muscat, Oman; in Sanaa, Yemen; in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; in Creta e Atene, Grecia; in Lisbona, Portogallo; in Varsavia, Polonia e in molte università italiane.
Membro di giurie nazionali, internazionali e di numerose organizzazioni culturali del Mondo Arabo per ciò che concerne lo studio della storia e della progettazione architettonica, è autore di numerose pubblicazioni dove riporta le sue ricerche svolte sia in ambito locale che a livello internazionale.
