Antonio Cammi obtained his Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, graduating with full marks (100/100 'cum laude') for his thesis on Passive Safety Systems in LWRs. Following this achievement, he obtained a PhD in Radiation Science and Technology from the same institution, also completing it 'cum laude'. His doctoral research was centered on the Safety, Dynamics, and Control of Innovative Nuclear Reactors. Starting in January 2005, he served as a Researcher and Assistant Professor in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, a position he maintained until June 2015. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor in Nuclear Engineering at the same university, a role he has occupied since June 2015. In 2015, he received the National Scientific Qualification to serve as a Full Professor in Nuclear Engineering. Moreover, he was a Guest Professor at Harbin Engineering University in China from July 2020 to July 2023. Following this, he was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Harbin Engineering University, starting in July 2023.

The main research activities of Antonio Cammi include:
• The development of innovative designs for nuclear systems and components (ADS, IRIS, ELSY, SURE, CFR, ALFRED, MSFR, DEMO),
• The development of innovative control strategies for power plants,
• The development of new methods and techniques (multi-physics modelling approach, reduced-order modelling approach, object-oriented simulators) for analyzing new generation nuclear reactors (fission and fusion).

He is responsible for Dynamo Lab and has contributed to the design of the facilities Dynasty (DYnamics of NAtural circulation for molten SalT internallY heated) and eDynasty (extended DYNASTY). These facilities are comprised of natural circulation loops aimed at studying the dynamics of natural circulation in the presence of volumetrically distributed heat sources. He is also involved in several thermal-hydraulics experimental campaigns at the Triga reactor at the University of Pavia.

Antonio Cammi is the author or co-author of more than 350 papers in international refereed journals or in proceedings of international conferences. The main and most recent publications can be found at this link: http://www.scopus.com/inward/authorDetails.url?authorID=8290404800&partnerID=MN8TOARS. Additionally, he systematically serves as a referee for several journals, including Nuclear Engineering and Design, Annals of Nuclear Energy, Progress in Nuclear Energy, Chemical Engineering Science, Applied Thermal Engineering, International Journal of Thermal Sciences, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, and many others.
