PhD Candidate in Peace Studies at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, her research focuses on the effectiveness of the European Union's diplomacy, particularly its parliamentary democracy model, in promoting peace, stability, and conflict resolution through the principle of "Unity in Diversity." To deepen her peace studies, she chose the curriculum "Dynamics, Processes, and Actors in International Relations," aiming to adopt a multidisciplinary approach that integrates political, legal, historical, and sociological perspectives.
Currently, she works as a civil servant at the European Parliament, within the Directorate-General for Partnerships in Parliamentary Democracy, where she works daily to build bridges between Parliaments and promote democratic values in a multilateral context.
She began her academic journey with a Bachelor's Degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University “Alma Mater Studiorum” of Bologna, acquiring a strong foundation in international relations, law, sociology, and contemporary history. She then pursued a Master’s in Political Studies at “Sciences Po” Toulouse, delving into French politics and history, tools to combat discrimination, disarmament, non-proliferation, and arms control. She completed her education with a Master’s Degree in European and International Studies at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, focusing on European integration history and politics, human rights, asylum law, and environmental law. Her thesis, “The Reform of the Dublin III Regulation: Towards De Facto European Solidarity?”, explored institutional dynamics and the challenges of cooperation among EU Member States on migration and asylum issues.
During a mission with the French Civil Service and an internship at the NGO “Solidarités International”, she contributed to coordinating humanitarian aid and implementing projects aimed at raising awareness and protecting rights, developing expertise in the field of development cooperation.
After her studies, she worked for three years as an Accredited Parliamentary Assistant at the European Parliament, participating in the work of various committees on legal and social policies. This experience allowed her to engage deeply in the European legislative process, collaborating with different political parties and stakeholders to safeguard citizens' rights and developing strong skills in policy-making, EU law and negotiation.
A year ago, she embarked on a new professional path in the Directorate-General for Partnerships in Parliamentary Democracy, continuing to leverage her expertise and actively contributing to strategies aimed at strengthening democratic values in an international context.
