Anna Aquilone was born in Ascoli Piceno (AP) on February 3, 2002.
In October 2023, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, defending a review thesis entitled “Analytical methods for the determination of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid in different matrices”, supervised by Prof. Camilla Montesano, and graduating with a score of 110/110 cum laude.
In October 2025, she earned her Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry at the same university, defending an experimental thesis entitled “Development of a new analytical method based on NIR spectroscopy coupled with chemometrics for the detection of cocaine in oral fluids”, supervised by Prof. Roberta Risoluti, and graduating with a score of 110/110 cum laude.
During her studies, she was awarded three collaboration scholarships between 2023 and 2025: two as a teaching laboratory assistant for the courses Physical Chemistry I and Analytical Chemistry III and Development and validation of analytical methods on real matrices, and one carried out at the “P. Levi” Chemistry Museum.
Since November 2025, she has been a PhD fellow in Chemical Sciences at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, under the supervision of Prof. Chiara Cavaliere.
