Thesis title: Analysis and calibration of hyperspectral infrared satellite images

This PhD dissertation is based on the concept of applying solid-state physics to satellite imagery as it relates to Earth Observations. This was made possible by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) PRISMA satellite, which provides satellite imagery with 30 m geometric resolution on the ground and continuous acquisition from 400 nm to 2500 nm with 232 bands (with a spectral resolution therefore of 9 nm between the center of one band and the other). The novelty of this work therefore lies in processing hyperspectral satellite data in the SWIR, trying to apply the infrared spectroscopy methodology as usually performed in the solid state physics laboratory.
