Thesis title: Digitalizzazione per il patrimonio costruito storico e rischio di perdita. Problematiche, scenari operativi e un'applicazione al contesto vesuviano

Cultural heritage risk management is a field of research and operational activity of fundamental importance, focusing on the protection and preservation of cultural heritage against multiple threats. To address the challenges arising from fragmented and heterogeneous management of cultural heritage data, the proposed methodology is based on the integration and refinement of such data through the use of ontologies, information systems for documentation and mapping, heritage data querying tools, and manageable controlled vocabularies. This approach can not only enhance the accuracy and depth of risk assessments, but it can also provide the foundation for a more informed and comprehensive decision-making process, contributing to more effective management and preservation in the face of multiple sources of risk. This doctoral research presents a virtuous workflow, which finds both its starting and ending point in the tangibility and materiality of architecture
