Ricerca: The relevance of Emotion-Related Self-Regulation in Empathy and Empathy-related Responses in a short-term and long-term framework

My doctoral research focuses on personality psychology, with particular attention to the relationships between prosocial behavior, empathy (including empathic concern and personal distress), self-regulation, and social inclusion, and how these processes contribute to individual well-being. My studies primarily focus on adolescents and young adults, aiming to understand how personality dynamics shape social and emotional development during these crucial life stages.

Throughout the three-year program, my activities will include:
- conducting an in-depth review of the scientific literature;
- collecting and analyzing empirical data;
- developing advanced statistical and methodological skills;
- writing and submitting scientific papers;
- assisting in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
