Alessandro Reca (Modica, 2000) earned a bachelor's degree in Historical-Artistic Studies in 2022 at Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis on the patronage of Cardinal Scipione Borghese (1576-1633), under the supervision of Professor Massimo Moretti. In 2024 he earned a master's degree in Art History from the same university with a thesis entitled "Lincean Imaginaries in the Library and Art Collections of Federico Cesi" (supervisor Professor Massimo Moretti, co-supervisor Dr. Marco Guardo). In the same year, he was admitted to the School of the Vatican Archive.
During his studies, he completed two internships at the Library of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and Corsiniana.
He is currently attending a PhD program (XLI) in Art History at Sapienza University of Rome. His research explores the relationship between science, artistic production, and collections in the 17th century, with particular reference to the Accademia dei Lincei.
