Alessandro Camilli was born in Velletri (RM) on 04/29/1998. In 2017 he obtained his high school diploma from the Vito Volterra State Scientific High School in Ciampino (RM) with a score of 100/100. He graduated in three-year chemistry on 12/16/2020 at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a score of 110/110 cum laude with a thesis in the organic field entitled "Calixarenic systems for the molecular recognition of species of biological interest" under the supervision of Dr. Roberta Cacciapaglia and prof. Stefano di Stefano. On 03/24/2023 he obtained a master's degree in Chemistry from the same university with a score of 110/110 cum laude, discussing an experimental thesis entitled "Synthesis and study of the bioactivity of polymeric and nanostructured systems based on thymol" carried out at the laboratory of Prof. Francesca Leonelli. From April 2023 to October 2023 he continued to carry out research activities as a scientific visitor at the same laboratory. Since November 2022 he has been the holder of a PhD scholarship at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" under the supervision of Prof. Francesca Leonelli, carrying out research activities in the field of synthesis, characterization and functionalization of Carbon Dots for biomedical applications.
