Professional perspective for Doctoral students

4 Pm | Aula Marrama | Professor Daniele Archibugi will give a lecture on Professional perspective for Doctoral students, based on his recent book "L'apprendista stregone. Consigli, trucchi e sortilegi per aspiranti studiosi".

17 Maggio 2022

Professor Archibugi is an Economist, Research Director at the Italian Research Council (CNR), and Professor of Governance, Innovation and Public Policy at Birkbeck College, London.
A short description of the book follows:

"When, where and what will Doctoral students do … afterwards? The Italian National Research Council has scrutinized the evidence about job openings, salaries and use of acquired professional competences of Doctorate holders in Italy. The country has still a lower share of doctoral students compared to the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom and there is no sign that this has been reduced over time. Despite that, a large number of Doctorate holders in Italy, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, find better professional opportunities abroad."
