1) Epistemology, paradigms, and reflexivity
2) Research Methodology
3) Tools for constructing empirical data.
4) Data analysis techniques (choice of 6 out of 8) (April-September)

Method of choosing the subject of the thesis

THE STUDENT IS ASKED TO CONDUCT A LITERATURE REVIEW ON A TOPIC AGREED WITH THE BOARD. THIS REPRESENTS THE FIRST STEP IN THE DEFINITION OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT.

Ph.D. students are invited to attend methodological seminars on the following topics:
1) Advanced seminars on methodology and statistics
2) Writing: publications and projects
In-depth seminars are discussed and approved by the board upon the proposal of faculty, mentors, or groups of doctoral students.
Students are also invited to participate in seminars and conferences in line with the objectives of the doctorat

Method of preparation of the thesis

The second year involves the progress of the research project planned in the first year aimed at to the execution of the research project studies and a preliminary data analysis.

Admission to the third year

At the end of the second year, doctoral students are required to submit to the Board a report in which emerges the commitment to scientific activity, the thesis project, other educational activities followed, and participation in national and / or international conferences. Doctoral students are also asked to make a presentation on the progress of the research project.

In addition to the specific training activities scheduled, students may participate in courses of previous years and are invited to participate in seminars and conferences in line with the objectives of the doctorate

Method of admission to the final examination

By June, doctoral students will present the final work of their research to the Board of teachers and deliver to external expert for preliminary evaluation of their research. They will also be required to submit a report on the research activities and the scientific production of the doctoral student

Final examination

The defense will take place in the form of a public presentation of the thesis in front of a commission composed of three members from other universities appointed by the Board of Professors and deliberated by the Department
