The Intertwined Dynamics of Landscape and Demographics in Byzantine and Ottoman Macedonia
During the meeting, the results of the studies conducted by the Palaeo-Science and History research group at the Max Planck Institute will be presented, characterised by a strong integration between palaeoenvironmental reconstruction and historical analysis. The work, developed in synergy by a large research group active in the fields of palynology, geology, geochemistry, history and archaeology, highlights the importance of integration between disciplines that address common issues through different approaches and languages.
