The seminar will take place at Sapienza on January 22 at 11 a.m. in room 16.
The seminar will be held by Prof. Flavien Choulet (Université Marie & Louis Pasteur, Besançon, France) and will be titled "Impact of magmatic activity and magma-sediment-fluid interactions on the transfer and sequestration of volatiles"
22/01/2026
Flavien Choulet is Associate Professor at Université Marie et Louis Pasteur at Besançon,
France. After a PhD on the tectonic puzzle of Central Asia, he has studied fluid-rock
interactions in carbonate fold-and-thrust belts (Morocco, Iran, Jura), including base
metals mineralization, hydrogeological watersheds, and fluid flows along faults and
fractures. His current research focuses on the polyphase tectonic and fluid evolution
recorded by calcite veins in the Jura. He is also working on interactions between
sediments, fluids and magma, and their effects on geochemical cycles of S and C
