We are happy to announce that the European Ph.D. in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies is offering two Ph.D. positions at Sapienza University of Rome.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in political economy, public economics, behavioral and experimental economics, economic history, and econometrics methods and applications.

The assessment of the applicants' qualifications and research proposal will take place on September 7, 2020. The results will be published the same day on this website. The interview will be held on September 10, 2020, via Zoom. The final ranking will be published on September 11, 2020.

The admission procedure will follow two steps:

Assessment of qualifications

At this stage, we assess the applicants' strengths and potential for academic success through the examination of the information and documents submitted with the application. The outcomes of this assessment will be made available on our website before the interview. The research proposal is not binding and basically serves to help the evaluation committee assessing candidates' propensity for academic research. PhD students are free to develop a totally different project during the program.

Oral interview

The interview will be held online via Zoom. The evaluation committee will notify with 24 hours notice. The interview mostly deals with the cv, motivation, previous experiences, quantitative skills, research interests, and the research proposals of the candidates.

The interview is in English.
