Whole Exome Sequencing to Identify Susceptibility Genes in Craniovertebral Junction Malformations Beijing, China
Postgraduate Research under supervision of Prof. Fengzeng Jian September 2016 – Now
• Collected data of CVJm patients and followed-up 2 families.
• Collected peripheral blood sample of 3 patients and 7 normal family members. Extracted DNA from peripheral blood and used PCR to prepare for whole exome sequencing.
• Analyzed SNPs in sequencing data by search of dbSNP database, 1000GP database, ExAC database and Pubmed.
Vertebral Artery Dissection caused by Atlantoaxial Dislocation Beijing, China

• Visited and followed-up a patient of bilateral vertebral arteries dissection and atlantoaxial dislocation.
• Analyzed causes and mechanism of the disease.

Meta-analysis April 2017
• Reviewed literatures about comparison of fusion surgery with non-fusion surgery for lumbar stenosis from major medical databases and calculated data using the software Revman.
• Completed meta-analysis titled as “Understanding Increasing Fusion Surgery for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis with Real World Experiences” (In the manuscript) as a co-first author.
