I am an Associate Professor in Economics (Economia politica) at the Sapienza University of Rome (Department of Legal and Economic Studies). Before joining this department, I was a Researcher in Economic Policy at the University of Naples Federico II, and a Visiting Professor in Political Economy at the Freie Universität Berlin. I hold a PhD in Quantitative Methods for Economics from Roma Tre University, where I also held a postdoctoral research position.

Over the years, I have taught a range of courses, including Microeconomics and Macroeconomics (Bachelor degree), Economic Policy, Monetary Economics, and International Economics (Master degree), Law & Economics (PhD level).

My research can be traced back to two main areas of inquiry. The first concerns the determinants of key macroeconomic variables and income distribution, both at the national and regional levels. The second focuses on the interconnections between international trade and the labour market, including the implications for welfare systems. In addition to publishing my work in peer-reviewed scientific journals, I have contributed to the drafting of institutional reports on the Italian economy (INPS – National Social Security Institute and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Regional Affairs).

I have also participated in several funded research projects. I regularly attend academic conferences and events as a speaker and/or lecturer, and I serve as a referee for numerous scientific journals. I have significant experience supervising master’s and doctoral students. I hold the National Scientific Qualification (Italian ASN) as an Associate Professor also in the fields of Economic Policy (13/A2, November 2020) and Applied Economics (13/A4, January 2022).
