Research: MVDC technologies and application
Vincenzo Ciniello was born in Pomigliano D'arco (Na) on 10/19/1998, and obtained the title of Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza on 10/20/2023 with a score of 110 and honors/110.
The thesis, entitled "Operational envelopes of 400 kV AC submarine cables for the interconnection of large offshore wind farms", dealt with the study of loadability at the thermal limit of AC cables. at 400 kV, the management of reactive power flows, total transmission losses. At present he is involved in the study of efficient and innovative solutions for the protection of direct current transmission and distribution networks based on the use of VSC or MMC impressed voltage converters, in relation to the different neutral management methods.
