Research: Development of an innovative aerocapture system for interplanetary missions
Born in Rome on 11 February 1996, I obtained, in 2019, the bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a thesis on dynamic soaring exploited by a UAV for energy saving. In 2023 I pursued a master's degree in aeronautical engineering with a thesis regarding the use of inflatable shields during the aerocapture maneuver and for re-entry maneuvers.
In April 2023 I won a scholarship, which lasted until October 2023, in which I continued my study on the aerocapture maneuver and, in particular, on the use of a technique called resistance modulation to compensate the variations of the density during the atmospheric flight.
In November 2023 I started my PhD developing the topic "Development of an innovative aerocapture system for interplanetary missions".
