Prof. Souren Grigorian is Head of the Soft Matter Physics Group at the University of Siegen, Germany. As an internationally recognised researcher, he has been offered an invited professorship at the University of Aix-Marseille, France, and has also been a visiting professor at the Department of Chemistry, Sapienza University of Rome. His main expertise is in materials chemistry and physical chemistry, with valuable experience in advanced structure-property studies, particularly at the various European synchrotron radiation facilities. His research interests include advanced X-ray techniques for the study of multifunctional soft materials, in-situ studies of active layers, in operando studies of working organic/hybrid devices, direct correlation of microstructures and optoelectronic properties, and flexible organic electronics. He is PI of several national and international projects, including the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research - BMBF, German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD, Volkswagen Foundation. Outside of his research, Souren Grigorian has been actively involved in education and outreach activities on an international level, coordinating the International Conferences and Young Scientist Schools for several years.
