Titolo della tesi: Public Banking and the Green Transition
The present work offers an original contribution on the role of public banks in supporting and promoting the green transition, adopting a multilevel perspective ranging from the global to the local perspective. The research examines the heterogeneity of these institutions from different perspectives, then it focuses on the key infrastructure initiatives promoted by Public Development Banks and Development Financial Institutions in developing countries, and in Africa in particular, such as the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investments. Finally, adopting a local perspective, it proposes an original green tagging strategy aiming to be a first building block for linking green public investments to estimate portfolio alignment to the EU Green Taxonomy.
