SOFIA BAJOCCO, PhD in Plant Sciences. She is a researcher at CREA-AA (Italian Research Council for Agriculture and Economics – Research Center on Agriculture and Environment). She is mainly engaged in computational landscape ecology and the study of environmental processes at regional to local scale. Her research interests and main fields of expertise are: vegetation dynamics, in terms of phenology and climate change impacts, and landscape scale processes, like wildfires spatio-temporal behavior, land degradation and land cover change. Such issues are investigated through remotely sensed data analysis, geoprocessing techniques, environmental indicators and multivariate statistical methods.
