Field of research: social history of music. Some topics are free jazz; early sound reproduction era in relation to popular music production and the Italian diaspora.
Fields of interest: models of production and consumption and inter-generation relations through music; transnational distribution circuits; contemporary underground pop and rock’n’roll scene in the era of globalization.
Fulbright Researcher at the Calandra Institute (CUNY) in 2002. Scholarship holder for the creation of LESMU - Lexicon of Italian musical literature 1490-1950, PRIN 2004-05.
Specialization diploma with grant for Musicologists of Afro-American Music at Siena Jazz School of Music.

Metamorphic Songs. Creation and coordination of the cultural exchange project on the traditional music between Naples and Istanbul funded by the Goethe Institut.
Muto a Napoli, soundtrack project for Neapolitan silent films from the 1920s in collaboration with the Asta Nielsen Film Archive, Frankfurt (Germany).
