Full Professor of “Raw Materials Engineering” at Department of Chemical Engineering, Materials & Environment, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome.

Research activities are related to the field of primary and secondary raw materials characterization and valorization, and are documented by about 200 scientific papers published in International Journals and in Proceedings of International Conferences and by the participation in many national and international Research Projects.

MAIN ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS
17 November 2013 onwards – Director of the “Ore Deposits and Ornamental Stones Museum” of Sapienza University of Rome (https://web.uniroma1.it/museoagm/).
Since 2019 coordinator in Sapienza of the Resources and Waste Working Group of the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS)
01 November 2015 – 31 October 2018 Coordinator of PhD Programme in Electrical Engineering, Materials and Environment, Sapienza University of Rome.

She is responsible of TWO RESEARCH LABS:
• “RawMaLab” (RAW MAterials LABoratory at Department of Chemical Engineering, Materials & Environment in Rome)
• “Raw Materials Engineering Lab” at Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering in Latina
Labs are equipped with hyperspectral imaging sensors working in different wavelength ranges (from 400 to 2500 nm), high resolution field spectroradiometers (400-2500 nm), ultra-compact NIR spectrometers, micro X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, optical microscopes with digital cameras, Raman spectrometer, laser diffraction particle size analyzer.
