Sarin Marchetti is Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy of Sapienza University, where he teaches Bioethics and Moral Theories. He is also a standing member of the Board of the PhD Program in Philosophy. He was Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy of Sapienza University (2017-20), Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Milan (2016-7), Postdoctoral Fellow and Teaching and Research Fellow at University College Dublin (2011-6), and Visiting Scholar at Columbia University (2009-10). He has written on Ethics, Metaphilosophy, Pragmatism, and the History of Analytic Philosophy. He is the author of Ethics and Philosophical Critique in William James (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), and, with Rosa M. Calcaterra, Richard Rorty. Filosofia, letteratura e politica (Carocci, 2023). He co-edited, with Giancarlo Marchetti, Facts and Values: The Ethics and Metaphysics of Normativity (Routledge, 2016), with Maria Baghramian, Pragmatism and the European Traditions: Encounters with Analytic Philosophy and Phenomenology Before the Great Divide (Routledge, 2017), and The Jamesian Mind (Routledge, 2021). He is Co-Executive Editor of the European Journal of Pragmatism and American Philosophy, and is part of the editorial staff of the editorial board of Contemporary Pragmatism.
