Research: Characterization of bioactive compounds in agrifood products
Sara Elsa Aita is currently attending a Ph.D course at the Chemistry Department of University of Rome "La Sapienza", working on a project regarding the characterization of bioactive compounds in agrifood products. From February 2019 to October 2020 Sara Elsa Aita was a research fellow at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Rome "La Sapienza". In September 2016 she graduated in Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". In April 2018 she won the tender No. 6/2018 for a tutoring assignment at the University of Rome - "La Sapienza". In October 2018 she obtained a Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", with a grade of 110/110 with honors. During the period of the experimental thesis (annual duration), carried out at the laboratory of professor Anna Laura Capriotti, she dealt with chromatographic separations and mass spectrometry applied to the study of food and environmental samples (such as extra virgin olive oil , donkey milk, microalgae, filters from samplers for environmental monitoring), with a proteomic approach.
