Research: Nanotechnologies and sensors for occupational health and safety in exposure to hazardous substances
Sajjad Rasmi obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering in 2019. In 2024, he earned his Master’s Degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma, under the supervision of Prof. Hossein Cheraghi Bidsorkhi and Prof. Alessandro Giuseppe D'Aloia, defending a thesis on reducing fuel consumption in ships through the use of superhydrophobic coatings. In 2025, he also completed a First-Level Master’s Degree in Yacht Design at ISIA in Pescara.
He is currently a PhD candidate at Sapienza Università di Roma as part of an industrial project funded by INAIL, with research focused on nanotechnologies and sensors for occupational health and safety. Previously, he conducted research on graphene-based coatings within the INAIL BRIC project “NANOBIOSAN.”
