Rosa M. Crujeiras (Ribeira, 1978) is an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics, Mathematical Analysis and Optimization (USC). She obtained her PhD in Mathematics in January 2007, with a thesis entitled "Contributions to Spatial Spectral Statistics" (supervised by Prof. Wenceslao González-Manteiga (USC) and Rubén Fernández Casal, from the University of A Coruña). She has been a post-doc researcher at the Institut de Statistique, Biostatistique et Sciences Actuarielles, Université Catholiqhe de Louvain (Belgium). Since January 2008, she is a professor at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research. Since October 2010 until June 2013, she was the secretary of the Institut of Mathematics at the USC, and since June 2013 until January 2015 she was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Mathematics. Since January 2015 until June 2017, she was deputy of the Vice-rectorship for Communication and Coordination at USC, becoming vicerrector from that date until June 2018. From January 2019 until March 2022, she was the coordinator of the PhD Program in Statistics and Operations Research. In September 2021, she was appointed as acting Scientific Director of the Galician Centre for Mathematical Research and Technology (CITMAga). Since June 2022, she is part of the academic council of the Sociedad de Estadística e Investigación Operativa.
