Rukya Mandrile earned her BA in Linguistic Mediation from SSML Vittoria (a branch in Turin of UNINT in Rome) in December 2017. She wrote her dissertation on the translation of a few chapters from the book V. Fedotov, O proshom i nastojashchem. Vospominanija poljarnika, Norma, Sankt-Peterburg, 2016 under Professor Elisa Baglioni's supervision (final grade: 110 cum laude/110). After a stay in Moscow at the Puškin Institute (March-June 2018), she enrolled in the Master's degree course in Modern Languages and Literature at the University of Turin. She completed it in November 2021 with a thesis on the influence of Aleksandr Bogdanov's philosophy on Andrej Platonov's worldview (supervisor: Professor Massimo Maurizio, final grade 110 cum laude and thesis declared worth publication - dignità di stampa/110). In addition to Platonov's opus, her main fields of interest are proletarian literature, the culture of the Stalinist period and the Soviet novel.
