May-October 2021: collaboration with the Italian Society of Diabetology within the national project Non Insulin Requiring Autoimmune Diabetes (NIRAD).

- Study of genetic, molecular, and pathophysiological heterogeneity of autoimmune diabetes;
- Evaluation of clinical and pathophysiological features of emerging complications of diabetes mellitus;
- Study of molecular mechanisms of the correlation between bone metabolism and vascular complications of diabetes mellitus;
- Immuno-metabolic and phenotypic characterization of obesity in autoimmune diabetes and its consequences.
