Research: The Challenges and Experiences of Transgender Students in Italian High Schools: Alias Career, Normalisation and Adultism

I am a PhD candidate at the School of Social and Economic Sciences (curriculum 3: Sociology and Applied Social Research), cycle XXXVII.

My academic background includes a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in Applied Social Sciences at La Sapienza.

My research focuses on the young transgender population, with particular attention to dynamics within secondary schools in Italy. My doctoral project revolves around transphobic bullying and the implementation of the 'alias career' within secondary schools.

I'm also an activist committed to the rights of the transgender community, actively contributing to initiatives, projects, and training to raise awareness and promote inclusion in schools and society at large. Since 2015, I have been the president of the Association Azione Trans.
