Phd in PUBLIC, COMPARATIVE AND INTERNATIONAL LAW

Current Ph.D. research:

Riccardo’s Ph.D. project, supervised by Prof. Fabio Giglioni, aims to analyze whether and in what way administrative governance is adapting to climate change. More in detail, the purpose of the project is to examine the potential mutation of the administrative dimensions (administrative organizations and administrative activities) about the risks and emergencies caused by the natural hazards conditioned by climate change impacts, i.e. floods, droughts, and forest fires.

Further research activities:

Since 2023 he has been a member of the research group for the national research project PRIN - PRIN2022 REhabilitating Peripheral Areas through Innovative Regeneration (REPAIR).
Between November 2022 and November 2023, Riccardo was the scientific responsible for the research project 'Plastic use regulation: among environmental protection and circular economy' funded by the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' (i.d. AR1221815C179FD4)
Riccardo was also a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen between 1/09/2022 and 2/12/2022, under the supervision of Prof. K. C. Lauta.


Teaching and Supervision:

Riccardo was an academic tutor for the Administrative Law course in the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sociology, and Communication during the academic year 2022/2023.
Riccardo was an academic tutor for the Public Law course in the Faculty of Economics of the Sapienza University of Rome during the academic years 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.
During the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, he also carried out supplementary didactic activities for the Environmental Law course.


Journals collaboration and association membership:

Since December 2020, Riccardo has been a member of the Environmental Law’s Observatory of GIUSTAMM, a public law journal, by monitoring the regional legislation and the State Council jurisprudence on environmental law.
Since February 2022, he also collaborates with RQDA Journal (Rivista Quadrimestrale di Diritto dell'Ambiente) as assistant editor.
Riccardo is a member of LABSUS (Laboratory for subsidiarity), a volunteer association that promotes initiatives that put in place the “principle of horizontal subsidiarity” ex art. 118, par. 4, of the Italian Constitution, by facilitating the relations between public administrations and the active citizens that intend to take care of common goods.
