Research: The Development of Artificial Intelligence for Predictive Maintenance of Transport Systems: Potential of an Important Tool to Support Decision Making
Since 2020, I have been working as an Engineer Officer at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Currently, I hold a position within the Coordination Office of the Department of Infrastructure and Transport Networks, where I manage transversal activities, primarily in the road sector, and collaborate with the Directorate General for Transport and Railway Infrastructure, also addressing cross-cutting issues across multiple divisions. Previously, I worked in the Minister’s Direct Collaboration Offices, specifically in the International Affairs Office and in the Cabinet of the Deputy Minister. I began my career at the Ministry in the Directorate General for Territorial Development, Planning, and International Projects. During my professional journey, I also worked in the automotive sector and obtained various certifications related to quality engineering, such as Process or Quality Auditor certifications.
I hold a Master’s degree with honors in Civil Engineering, specializing in Infrastructure, from the University of Perugia. I have completed a Master’s in Industrial Process Management, Maintenance, and Control, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. Additionally, I attended a Professional Development Course for Public Administration Leadership preparation at the Luiss School of Law.
Throughout my experience, I have participated as a speaker at various conferences focusing on innovation, resilience, and sustainability in the transport sector. In 2024, I contributed to the preparation of the G7 Transport under the Italian Presidency.
My research primarily focuses on developing artificial intelligence systems applied to data clustering and predictive analysis in the transport sector, with a particular emphasis on rail and road infrastructures.
