Research: Taxonomies and definitions in early modern economic discourse

Remo Appolloni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation (English and Chinese) at Sapienza University of Rome, and a first class honours Master’s degree in Interpreting at translation at University of International Studies of Rome – UNINT (English and Chinese). He completed his professional training at the Italian Presidency of Council of Ministers – Department for European Policies - where he was offered an internship as a translator in the Directorate General for Single Market, Competitiveness and General Affairs. He worked with both state and non-state companies (2010 – 2017) in the fields of strategic and operational marketing, big data analysis, customer relationship management, editing and translation (ITA – ENG), public relations and social media management. He taught English for Special Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as a contract lecturer at Sapienza University of Rome – Bachelor’s programmes in Management Engineering, Sustainable Building Engineering, Computer Science and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology. Additionally, he worked as a trainer for state and non-state institutions, where he taught English a Second Language (ESL) and English for Business Purposes (EBP), and as an English language consultant for public competition exams. He is member of the group of Italian university teachers and researchers working in the area of History of the English language (SLIN).
