The research project aims to investigate, through a historical-religious and narratological analysis of Old Icelandic literature, the resemanticization of the figure of Thor, with particular attention to the ways in which sagas and poetic texts reworked, through the god of the hammer, the historical dynamics that characterized Iceland during the period of christianization.
