Raffaela Capitanelli is Associate Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of Sapienza since 2019.
At the same faculty, he has been a permanent researcher since 2007.
She graduated in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics "G. Castelnuovo" of La Sapienza and obtained his PhD in Mathematics at the same institution.
She obtained several specialization and master's courses in mathematics education. She was a post-Phd researcher sponsored by INdAM (Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica)
She has taken part in National research projects (PRIN) and she has coordinated national (GNAMPA) and local ones (Sapienza).
She has been a Scientific and Organizing member of international conferences and invited speaker at national and international conferences and institutions.
Moreover she has served as a referee for several National and International Projects.
The research activity was carried out in the field of partial differential equations on irregular structures.
In particular, it mainly addressed the study of the following topics:
Fractals, Dirichlet forms, Nonlinear forms of energy, Lagrangeans, Homogeneous spaces, Spaces
metric, Functional inequalities, Weighted Sobolev spaces, Besov spaces,
Lipschitz spaces, Laplacians, p-Laplacians, infinity-Laplacians, Harnack Inequalities, Differential problems in irregular domains, Trace Theorems, Extension Theorems, Variational Convergences, Asymptotic Analysis, Variational Inequalities, Obstacle Problems, Regularity, Uniform estimates, FEM, Fractional Equations.
These topics concern some aspects of the mathematical analysis of general metric structures: in particular, the problems addressed emerge from the study of intrinsically non-Euclidean functional spaces due to the presence of degenerate and singular weights or due to the fractal nature of the sets.
