Method of admission to the final examination
The tutor draws up a report on the activity of the student. The admission to the final exam takes place following the presentation, by the Phd student, of the thesis completed in its entirety, without prejudice to the complete final layout, accompanied by a report by the tutor who attests
the final completion. The thesis is deposited at the Secretariat of the doctorate and each professor of the Phd Council can read it and make observations within a month of filing. If observations are made, the Phd student is obliged to respond to each observation in a reasoned manner, making any changes to the thesis.
For the purposes of admission to the final exam, the Coordinator, after verifying the regularity of attendance of the Phd student, summons him to report to the Council of Professors on the activity carried out in the third year and on the final thesis. At the end of the session, and taking into account the mid-term evaluation of the research carried out by two external professors at the University, the Council of Professors decides on the recognition of 60 credits for the third year and on admission to the final exam.
Subsequently, the Council of Professors formulates a final judgment that will be made available to the Commission of the final exam.
Final examination
After obtaining a positive opinion from the two external evaluators of the University, and after the opinion of the Council of Professors, the research in its final draft is sent to the members of the Final Examination Board at least 45 days before the date set for the discussion.
The final exam includes the discussion in the form of a presentation, accompanied by video projection of about 30/40 minutes by the Phd student to the National Commission Board appointed, who will discuss the results of the research with the candidate at the end of the presentation. Candidates are invited to present the most important aspects that emerged during the drafting process, as well as the conclusions of the research.
