RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Prof. Patrizia Velotti carries out research in the field of dynamic and clinical psychology, deepening the study of emotional regulation and dysregulation in childhood and adulthood.
A research area consists in the study of the psychological and behavioral correlates of the dysregulation mechanisms, with particular focus in the risks of violent behavior and psychopathology. Another area of scientific interest is about the regulating processes in the couple relationship, in a perspective that concerns attachment theory and contemporary psychoanalytic models.
