Research: A smart, distributed, reliable, and low-cost monitoring system to support the green transition in electricity distribution grids

Parastou Poursoltan is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical and Energy Engineering of the University "La Sapienza" of Rome. She is currently developing a smart, distributed, reliable, and low-cost monitoring system to support the green transition in electricity distribution grids, in the context of the network managed by ASM S.p.A. in the city of Terni, in Umbria.

Ms. Poursoltan holds a master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, and a master’s degree in Industrial engineering from Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch in Tehran. Her research interests include Smart grids, Power systems analysis, Industrial Internet of Things, Renewable energy systems, Microgrids, Simulation-based Optimization, and Statistical analysis.
