Orlando Paris is a Researcher in Philosophy and Theory of Languages at the University for Foreigners of Siena, where he teaches Semiotics and Theory of Languages. He obtained his PhD from the Italian Institute of Human Sciences – Scuola Normale Superiore. His research lies within the fields of semiotics and philosophy of language, focusing in particular on image theories, art and urban spaces, and contemporary forms of public discourse, with a specific emphasis on stereotypes, racism, xenophobia, and hate speech. He is the author of numerous essays and volumes dedicated to these topics, including I discorsi dell’odio.
