Prof. Nicola Cucari is Assistant Professor at Sapienza University of Rome. He obtained the national scientific habilitation as Full Professor in Business Management from November 2023.
He has been Adjunct Professor at different Italian Universities (University of Florence, UNINT - Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma, Pegaso Telematic University). He has been Research Fellow at Department of Political, Social and Communication Studies - University of Salerno (Italy) and at Department Management and Innovation Systems - University of Salerno (Italy). He has been Visiting Researcher at University of Huelva (Spain) - Department of Management and at University of Hohenheim (Germany) – Institute of Marketing & Management. His research interests are mainly focused on corporate governance, innovation management and entrepreneurship.
He actively participates in international conferences, and realized multiple publications as journal articles, book and chapters. Among many, he has published articles in Business Strategy and the Environment, Production Planning & Control, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, International Entrepreunership and Management Journal, Land Use Policy.
He is editorial board member of international journals such as Business Strategy and the Environment, (Associate Editor), Corporate Social Responsability and Environmental Management (Associate Editor), Corporate Governance and Organizational Behavior Review, Corporate Governance and Research & Development studies, BOHR International Journal of Business Ethics and Corporate Governance. He is member of Academy of Management, EURAM and SIMA (Società Italiana di Management).
He won two best papers at Sinergie-Sima Conference, 2017 and Best Paper Award of EURAM Track “Innovations in Corporate Governance: Law Management and Society” – SIG Business for Society (co-sponsored by SIG Corporate Governance) at European Academy of Management (EURAM) 2019. He won a selected paper at Sinergie – SIMA conference 2020. He was awarded in the 2017 as a Best Ph.D Student and in the 2021 as Best Ph.D at “Minerva Award” to scientific research by Fondazione Roma Sapienza.
He has participated, as principal investigator or team member, in several research projects. He is the Delegate to activities of Outreach of Dept of Management at Sapienza University of Rome, and he holds other institutional positions at master’s degree of Business Management (member of Quality Insurance Management Commission of Master Degree namely "Management delle Imprese” and delegate to Honours Programmes).
