Massimiliano Tabusi is "Professore Ordinario" (Full Professor) of the Università per Stranieri di Siena (University for Foreigners of Siena). In this University he teaches: for Mediazione linguistica e culturale e di Lingua e cultura italiana courses: - Multi-module course “Territorial Resources”, 6 cfu; - Multi module course “Geopolitics and History”, 6 cfu. For "Lingua e cultura italiana": - “Foundamentals of Human Geography”, 9 cfu. For "Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Competenze testuali per l’editoria, l’insegnamento e la promozione turistica": - “Geography and Territorial Organization”, 6 cfu. For "Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Scienze linguistiche e comunicazione interculturale": - “Geography”, 6 cfu. His research interests are mainly focused on: - Labour Geography; - Geography of the Information Society; - Social Geography and connection between Arts and geographical research; - Jerusalem Political Geography and Geopolitics. He is currently EUGEO (Association of Geographical Societies in Europe) Secretary General; Member of the Scientific Committee of “Testi e culture in Europa” Book Series and of J-Reading and Folia Geographica journals; Member of Scientific Committee and steering committee of the journal Geotema; Member of "DADR" Department of Università per Stranieri di Siena; Member of the Scientific Committee of J-Reading Journal; he has been Secretary General of Italian Geographical Society (elected vicepresident in 2022) and he still represents SGI in EUGEO; he has been member of the Organizing Committe of the International EUGEO 2017 Congress (Brussels) and Coordinator of the Organizing and Advisory Committee of the International EUGEO 2013 Congress; in 2016 he is elected in SGI Board; in 2017 elected in AGEI Board, and Secretary of the Association; International coordinator of the GeoNight initiative (www.geonight.net); Co-Founder of Luogoespazio Geographical Blog and Website and "GiovaniGeografi" Mailing List.
