Mario Calabrese, PhD is Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, of the Sapienza University of Rome. He has extensive experience in the field of Management and has been involved in the definition and implementation of new systems concerning the strategic planning process, the planning and control of Research and Development activities, operational planning and control, and financial management. He has also been a professor of Performance Measurement and Innovation Design at the same university since the 2020/2021 academic year. In addition, he has held various positions such as Adjunct Professor of Management, Technological and Organizational Innovation, Innovation and organization of companies, Management of supply markets at the Faculty of Economics of the Sapienza University of Rome. He has also been a Junior Research Fellow at the Advanced School of Advanced Studies Sapienza (SSAS) since the 2020/2021 academic year. Prof. Calabrese's research activities have been extensive, including research on "Innovation and services for the competitiveness of SMEs in the South" at CNR/IRAT from 2008 to 2010. He obtained a PhD in "Business Management" at the Sapienza University of Rome in 2012 and a specialization diploma within the Master's in Internationalization at the SNA ("Scuola Nazionale dell'Amministrazione") in 2014. Since May 2015, he has been a research fellow at the S.I.Ma.S. Lab of the University of Salerno S.S.D. Secs/P08. Calabrese has also published essays and articles, participated in research groups, conferences and congresses, helped found scientific societies and associations, and collaborated with public and private, national and international institutions throughout his career.
