Marco Fortunato received the Bachelor’s degree in physics from the Sapienza University of Rome in 2011, and the Master’s degree in physics of condensed matter from the Roma Tre University of Rome in 2015. In February 2019 Ph.D degree in Electrical, Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome. In April 2020, he became a Fixed-term Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Astronautical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. His research activities have focused on the fabrication and characterization of piezoelectric nanomaterials and nanocomposites for energy harvesting applications, including AFM and PFM analysis, graphene-based nanomaterials, piezoresistive pressure sensors, and strain sensors. Since November 2024, he has been a researcher at the Department for Sustainability of the ENEA Casaccia Research Center. His current research interests include the development and characterization of composite materials with enhanced thermal conductivity using additive manufacturing techniques, as well as SEM and thermogravimetric analysis.
