Research: Innovative approaches for reusing valuable materials derived from the recovery of used batteries: from material to system

Education and Academic Path

PhD Candidate (Current): Since November 2025, she has been the recipient of a PhD fellowship in Electrical, Materials, and Nanotechnology Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome, with research activities conducted at the ENEA Casaccia Research Center.

Master’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry (LM-71): Awarded in May 2025 from Sapienza University of Rome (ARES curriculum: Environment, Resources, Energy, and Safety). Her experimental thesis, carried out at ENEA, focused on the direct recycling of electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries.

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (L-27): Awarded in October 2022 from Sapienza University of Rome, with a literature review thesis on "Chemical and physical methods for CO2 capture."

Research Experience

Junior Research Fellowship – Horizon Europe SiGNE Project (2025): Focused on the characterization of electrode materials for secondary lithium batteries.

Junior Research Fellowship – INSTM (ORANGEES Project, 2025): Titled "Electrochemical and spectroscopic testing for the optimization of battery investigation protocols."
