Research: Design and synthesis of piperazine-based compounds conjugated to Ferritin as delivery system of siRNA in cancer cells.
Graduated with honors in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2021 at the University of Perugia. During the thesis period in CS-ORG CHEM group, she worked on a "New catalytic method for the synthesis of nitrogen aromatic derivatives N- and C-alkylated" (supervisors Prof. L.Bagnoli and C.Santi); the research focused on the discovery of a new catalytic and eco-sustainable method for N-alkylating and C-alkylating substrates such as indole, pyrazole and benzotriazole with the insertion of a Selenium atom.
Awarded in 2022 as best graduated student in Pharmaceutical Sciences by the Faculty of Pharmacy of Perugia.
In October 2022 she became a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Sapienza University (XXXVIII cycle). She currently works in the design and synthesis of bioconjugated linkers for the development of transport systems and in particular on the synthesis of piperazine-based compounds conjugated to Ferritin to deliver siRNA into cancer cells (supervisor Prof.ssa D.Quaglio and relator Prof. B.Botta).
