Ms. Michela Salimbeni graduated in Civil Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome in 2020, carrying out a curricular internship at INAIL - DIT of Rome on the topic "Assessment of the seismic response of components of an industrial plant and study of smart systems for the mitigation of the seismic risk of floating roof storage tanks".

She is currently a PhD student of the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome with a scholarship funded by the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (INAIL) on the topic "Assessment, mitigation and monitoring of seismic risk in major hazard industrial plants".

The main research interest refers to seismic risk in industrial plants, with attention to the assessment of the seismic vulnerability of industrial components and mitigation systems of the consequences of major accidents.
