Mauro Pasquali was born in 1955 and got in 1980 M.S. degree from the Universiyi “la Sapienza” of Rome in Chemistry. In 1983 In the Center of Electrochemistry and Physical Chemistry of Interphases of the C.N.R. He was specialized in the accumulation and electrochemical production of energy. In the 1983 he has won a competitive examination of the grouping 105 becoming researcher in the Faculty of Engineering of Rome
In the 1992 he has won a competitive examination for Associate Professor in Chemistry of Technologies at the Universyty of Cagliari and ever since 1994 it is in service to the University of Rome”La Sapienza”, on call of the Faculty of Engineering, where is still in service. Now is full professor of Foundations of Chemistry for Technologies (CHIM 07).
He has a relevant experience in following themes of search
- Synthesis and characterization of nanostructural materials for lithium and lithium-ion batteries;
- Structural investigations on solid-state solutions;
- Thermodynamic of alkaline ions intercalation in transition metals oxides;
- Polymers conductors;
- Electrolytic Metals recovery from waste water;
- Recycling of the lithium and lithium-ion batteries;
- Electrochemical and photo-electrochemical hydrogen production;
- Hydrogen storage on metallic hydrides;
- Fuel cells.
The results of these activities, are documented with more of 180 publications on qualified scientific magazines, books, patents and proceeding of the congress with referee.
- He has been collaborator of two research unities in the second Energetic Finalized Project and Production and Accumulation of Electric Energy Project of the CNR.
- He was involved in the research of the Finalized Project: Material Special for Advanced Technologies, of the C.N.R..
- He has been responsible in Italian National Project:
Strategic Light Batteries for Electric Vehicles; Project of the C.N.R. Material Special for Advanced Technologies IIs; Finalized Project of the C.N.R. Cathode Materials Search for lithium or lithium-ion batteries with polymeric electrolytes MIUR-ENEA
- He has been responsible as Italian referent, of the bilateral project between Italy-Bulgarian from the CNR and the Bulgarian Academy of the Sciences of Sofia.
