Research: Discovering critical nodes in Tumor Educated platelets transcriptome network for cancer diagnosis and monitoring

I began my academic career at Sapienza University of Rome, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics and Finance (2022), and later continued at Sapienza with a Master’s degree in Data Science (2025). I am currently an intern at the CSR of Bankitalia and a PhD student in Automation, Bioengineering and Operations Research (ABRO), specializing in Bioengineering. My research activities focus on developing methods for the identification of tumor markers with diagnostic properties that can be detected through liquid biopsies, with particular interest in graph theory. In 2025, under the supervision of Professor Manuela Petti, I contributed to the publication of the following article: 10.1109/CBMS65348.2025.00078 — Differential Co-Expression Networks of Tumor Educated Platelets Transcriptome for Glioblastoma Multiforme Diagnosis. Manna M., Boesso S., Farina L., Petti M., 2025 38th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS), Madrid, Spain, June 18–20, 2025.
