Research: The idea of a castle in Giorgio Grassi's projects in Milan
Mattia Maffi was born in 1999 in Cesena. He graduated from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna in 2024 with a thesis entitled: "The city within the city - Urban redevelopment project of the former Officine Casaralta area in Bologna". During his university years he studied at YTU - Yildiz Technical University, a public university in Istanbul, Türkiye. Since 2024 he has been enrolled in the DRACO - Architecture and Construction of the City - XL cycle PhD course at the Sapienza University of Rome. His areas of interest concern the relationship that is established between architectural design and the city, the link between form and meaning of the architectural design. In particular, the relationships that exist between composition, character and architectural construction are the object of research.
